Summary:
The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Archives is looking for an Assistant Archivist who can collaborate in taking the archives into the future.
We are currently in the middle of work to reprocess the entire contents of the archives.
This includes paper documents artifacts, artwork, photos, videos, and audio materials.
There will also be digitizing of some of those materials.
The Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Archives use software applications such as:
Silvertech, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Audacity, and Past Perfect.
The candidate will help implement a newly established record group system and will aid in the creation of physical and digital exhibits.
There will also be opportunities for outreach and collaboration with archivists and archival groups as well as the general public.

This position is scheduled for full time and qualifies for our generous benefits package! Job Duties:
Assist with physical arrangements of archival materials to include foldering, filing, boxing, and labeling, as well as compiling and writing descriptions of archival collections.
Catalog collections using PastPerfect database.
Prepare archival catalogs and finding aids.
Assist in outreach via digitizing content, working on physical and online exhibits, and web-based outreach.
Assist in providing reference service including responding to research requests online and in-person.
Assist in digitizing collections for reference, access, and preservation.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or above with emphasis/concentration in history, information science or related field.
Familiarity with computer data entry and/or photographic scanning.
Familiarity with physical and digital filing systems preferred.
Knowledge of or interest in Catholic history, religious history, and/or history of congregations of women religious preferred.
Previous experience working in an archive, special collections department, or special library.
Well-organized and detail oriented.
Good written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform sedentary work, sitting at desk and/or typing for long periods of time.
Stoops, bends and possibly lifts when accessing files.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
