Job Description:
This grant funded position coordinates the Crculo de Cuidado activities related to student outreach, involvement and recruitment of high school and transfer students. This program supports scholarships for Hispanic nursing students and benefits areas underserved by health care professionals.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with targeted high schools and community colleges to gain support for the grant project and recruit students.
Develop, implement, and facilitate Hispanic American Leadership Organization.
Plan, and implement enhanced cultural activities (e.g., field trips, cultural events), in conjunction with Student Life.
Lead targeted outreach and recruitment activities among high school and transfer students.
Prepare program reports as required, identify problems, and maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate with Academic Resource Center and Office of Student Success to support student success and monitor and participate in remediation activities.
Lead targeted outreach and recruitment activities among high school and transfer students.
Develop bilingual recruitment materials.
Assist with application and financial aid processes as appropriate.
Assist with selection of students.
Assist with data collection and program evaluation, culminating with a summative white paper submitted for publication.
Perform additional job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field. Masters in related field preferred.
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
Previous relevant experience promoting diversity among young adults.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Affinity with the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work with a diverse community.
Project a positive, professional, customer focused image for the university.
Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional and confidential manner.
Must be able to successfully pass required background screening as appropriate.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
