Social Worker (MHRRTP Coordinator)

This position is a combined Mental Health and Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MRRTP) coordinator and clinical social work position. Duties include but not limited to:
Serves as treatment team coordinator for one of the MHRRTP treatment teams exercising full responsibility for the coordination and direction of treatment for the Homeless Veterans Program (DCHV) and General Domiciliary Program. Manages both the clinical and administrative aspects of the MHRRTP Treatment Team, having responsibility for coordinating:
interdisciplinary staffing, provision of treatment, program eligibility, admission criteria, collaboration with MHRRTP and Behavioral Health management on program development and program adherence to VA directives, JCAHO, and CARF standards of care. Responsible for monthly statistical and program analysis as well as for the required data/research collection on all admissions to DCHV for the Northeast Program Evaluation Center (NEPEC). As a licensed social worker also provides case management to the population served and along with on-site psychologists, provides individual and group mental health care. Initial psychosocial assessments, completion of advanced directives, clinical notes, as well as, intake assessment and discharge planning. Further, the social worker as the MHRRTP team/program coordinator will be vital in ensuring the success of the MHRRTP mission of helping Veterans obtain the goals of stable employment, stable housing, and sobriety and increased mental well being. Required to interact not only with the Veteran but also families, significant others, medical center staff and when indicated, legal systems and community agencies. Other duties as assigned. Successful completion of master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. (Transcripts must be provided). Licensure:
Must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. (License must be provided). Grade Determinations:
GS-12 Experience/Education:
To qualify, candidates must possess experience that demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment. At least two (2) years of experience post advanced practice clinical licensure and should be in a specialized area of social work practice of which, one year must be equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Senior social workers have experience that demonstrates possession of advanced practice skills and judgment. Senior social workers are experts in their specialized area of practice. Senior social workers may have certification or other post-masters training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship or equivalent supervised professional experience in a specialty. GS-12 Licensure/Certification:
In order to qualify for this level, you must be licensed or certified by a state at the advanced practice level which included an advanced generalist or clinical examination, unless they are grandfathered by the state in which they are licensed to practice at the advanced practice level (except for licenses issued in California, which administers its own clinical examination for advanced practice) and you must be able to provide supervision for licensure. In addition to the experience above, candidates must demonstrate all of the following KSAs:
1. Skill in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities used in specialty treatment programs or with special patient populations. This includes individual, group, and/or family counseling or psychotherapy and advanced level psychosocial and/or case management. 2. Ability to incorporate complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice. 3.Knowledge in developing and implementing methods for measuring effectiveness of social work practice and services in the specialty area, utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services and to design system changes. 4. Ability to provide specialized consultation to colleagues and students on the psychosocial treatment of patients in the service delivery area, as well as role modeling effective social work practice skills. 5.Ability to expand clinical knowledge in the social work profession, and to write policies, procedures, and/or practice guidelines pertaining to the service delivery area. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
