Program Support Assistant (Clinic Profile Manager)

Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides oversight for all clinics profiles/scheduling grids and ongoing analysis of supply and demand throughout the medical center. Responsible for ensuring accurate creation, validation, inactivation, and management of clinic profiles. Collects, validates, and interprets data relating to appointment management, performance measures, eligibility and enrollment processing, patient care, electronic workload, and ambulatory care. Extracts data using a variety of software packages and applies analytical techniques to develop recommendations for process improvement in scheduling. Monitors Data Processing Accountability & Transmissions (open encounters) to ensure encounters are closed and transmitted. Devises, modifies, and maintains data validation reviews to ensure all aspects of clinic scheduling are adequately documented and established procedures are followed. Responsible for all aspects of new clinic establishment in VistA and provides guidance to the services for clinic set ups and groupings in VSE. Reviews clinic modification, cancellation, remapping, deactivation, and reactivation requests; ensuring all requests for clinic maintenance adhere to the National Scheduling Directive and local EKHCS policies and procedures. Performs audits of active clinics to ensure compliance with VA regulations, policies and procedures. Assists clinics and services in reviewing and understanding clinic utilization data using either VistA or VHA Support Service Center (VSSC) reports. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary, but does require some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching, and carrying moderately heavy items such as manuals, documents, office supplies, and/or data file reports. Work also involves spending a significant amount of time performing keyboard data entry and prolonged periods of data review via computer monitor. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
