THE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The Leavenworth Operations Supervisor directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of products, distribution of products, and tooling. The Operations Supervisor leads up to 35 Hallmark employees (with additional agency employees added during peak seasons), oversees the scheduling and assignment of work, and verifies that production, serviceability, cost, and quality standards are met. The Operations Supervisor ensures good housekeeping practices and positive employee relations are maintained, and that safety regulations are followed. The incumbent also provides the customer with the right product at the right time within the cost target.

The Operations Supervisor will:

  • Meet or exceed departmental objectives by communicating job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures; provide feedback, written and verbal, that accurately reflects the performance of each individual employee.
  • Make work assignments to personnel; accomplish work results; establish priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules; identify and resolve problems; report results of the area.
  • Maintain staff by anticipating personnel requirements; look for out-of-the box solutions to handle peak needs and keep management apprised of those needs; participate in interviewing, assessing talent, orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and is regarded as Subject Matter Expert (SME); is seen as a credible source of information and is sought out for this expertise.
  • Act as a representative of Hallmark to their direct reports and is the resource direct reports seek out; be knowledgeable regarding company policies and any governmental laws/regulations across the various functional areas:
    Environmental, Safety, Human Resources, Finance, programs such as the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, OSHA standards, etc. that affects the work group and assures compliance with those regulations.

The Operations Supervisor position may be filled at an Operations Supervisor level I, II, or III, depending on experience.

30 p.m. to Midnight. May be required earlier or later than stated hours depending on business need.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent AND a minimum of 3 years supervising direct reports; OR Associate s degree or higher.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you have:

  • Bachelor s degree in supply chain, engineering or production operations.
  • Experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience with equipment and/or building maintenance.
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Project management experience.
  • Adept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutions.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
